Self-Compassion

Today’s mindfulness exercise will focus on self-compassion. First come up with a mantra for yourself, a positive and impactful affirmation.

Then, throughout your day take moments to practice self-compassion.  When you find yourself feeling stressed and overwhelmed, pause a few times a day. While paused, put your hand over your heart, take a few deep breaths, and then repeat your mantra out loud (3 times) and in your mind(3 more times).

That is it! Simple and easy! Here are some of my favorite mantras on repeat
  • My body is healthy; my mind is brilliant; my soul is at peace.
  • Happiness is a choice. 
  • Keep your head up and your heart open.
  • Be Better, not bitter
  • I Am Enough.
  • Be the energy you want to attract.
