{Santa Mail} Toddler Letters

Sunday, December 11, 2016
Did you know the US Postal Service has Santa Mail? Well I just found out despite my dad being a post office employee for over 20 years. Turns out USPS can help bring a little Christmas magic to your life— complete with a North Pole Postmark! The Letters from Santa program is actually pretty simple.

Here's how Santa Mail works:

  • Have your child write a letter to Santa and place it in an envelope addressed to: Santa Claus, North Pole.
  • Write a response to that letter (when your child isn’t looking) From Santa himself.
  • Insert both letters into an envelope, and address it to your child. Adding the return address: SANTA, NORTH POLE, to the envelope. Then add a First-Class Mail stamp.
  • Place the completed envelope into a larger envelope, add appropriate postage and address it to:
NORTH POLE POSTMARK POSTMASTER
4141 POSTMARK DR
ANCHORAGE AK 99530-9998
All letters from Santa must be received by the Anchorage, AK, Postmaster no later than December 15 to ensure your child receives a reply. The rest is Christmas magic J

This weekend we tried this out. We wrote our letter to Santa and dropped it in the mailbox on Sunday; now we are patiently awaiting his reply!
