Holiday Table Decor

Saturday, December 19, 2015
I caught a lot of great sales this year and was able to decorate our tables without spending a fortune. Low budget and beautiful are two phrases that make me happy!

silver and red holiday centerpiece

This year in keeping with a silver and red theme my centerpieces were a simple combination of ornaments and recycled decorations (repurposed for Christmas).

Lanterns & Florals

I added ornaments to table lanterns left over from our wedding; throw in Dollar Store flameless candles, add a snowflake and boom! I also made a faux mercy glass vase using mirrored spray paint then added some real pine branches from my parents overly full Christmas tree. I accented with other Dollar Store finds including metallic fillers and then placed everything front and center.  As an added bonus, I caught a great Shutterfly deal on a custom table runners and the craft store had snowflakes for sale so our dinning table had some personal touches and glittery focal points making it great!

Festive Basket

For our kitchen table I emptied our mail basket I threaded a layer of red satin ribbon around the basket then filled it with spray painted pinecones. After I was done I added a few $1 glittered snowflake ornaments as accent. Simple and easy!

I was able to decorate two tables for less than $25 just by
  • Repurposing items I already had around the house,
  • Shopping sales, and
  • Being creative and crafty.
