Monday Motivator {Positive Quote}

Monday, June 22, 2015
I was reminded today of the importance of having an open mind; being promotional, not preventative; and seeing the best in people and situations.  I have been on a mission to assume positive intent and alter my daily train of thought after recently reading Decisive: How to Make Better Choices in Life and Work.  A Henri Matisse quote came into my line of sight today and changed my thought process this afternoon.
"There are always flowers for those who want to see them." - Henri Matisse
This quote really embodied the mindset I was seeking today. While reality testing a few of my work assumptions I was adding tasks to my to-do list and starting to fall into the habit of being over burdened and unhappy about it (aka Monday). I was losing my zeal for the day very early on. I stopped and remembered that my glass was half full…I stopped and smelled the roses, acknowledging that there was opportunity for greatness all around me! I reframed my daunting tasks and took a positive approach, being grateful for my blessings instead of complaining about them.

Take some time and see the flowers…
