Honeymoon Must-haves

Tuesday, November 4, 2014

The wedding is in 3 days people and part of my prepping has been planning for our honeymoon! We’ve been blessed to have our family gift us with a honeymoon trip. For me it is a surprise and will remain so until we are headed to the airport.  My hubby-to-be has taken the charge of planning, which makes my only responsibility to pack! All I know is a temperature and a time frame.

So what do you need if you have no clue where you’re going? Here’s my list of Top Secret Honeymoon Must-Haves...

items you should pack or use for your honeymoon

Passport – make sure you have your passport and it is up-to-date! International travel or not it’s a good thing to have!

Expandable Luggage – shopping can happen anywhere, anytime and you're going to need something to hold all those souvenirs!  A suitcase with flexibility is really ideal! Be sure to use travel locks and luggage tags.

Something Sexy – your lingerie themed bachelorette party served a purpose, so put those gifts to work! You’re honeymooning after all :)

Comfy Flats – you don’t know where you’re going or how much walking you'll be doing so bring some flats (even if just for the airport).

Camera – sure your smart phone is great for instagram selfies (#honeymoon) but you may want some actual pictures.  A small camera is great to capture those big moments (and it can fit in your purse).

Turo (Formerly RelayRides) – you’re going to be gone so why not get free airport parking and earn some extra cash. Rent out your car to approved travelers while you’re away with Turo. Or rent a car if you're in need. It really is a great service! Check out their airport rentals program and thank me later.

Wikitude - an app that connects you to your destination in a fun new way. You can use your camera phone to scan the surrounding area and what you need to know will appear on screen. Wikitude syncs locations with restaurant reviews from TripAdvisor and Yelp, photos and tweets from social media, and details from Wikipedia. It also works as a currency converter.
