Wedding Websites {Review}

In an effort to get my wedding planning together I’ve recently been working on our wedding website. Honestly, it has been a great place to direct people so I don’t have to answer a million questions. I wanted to share some of the sites we looked at before making our final decision. We are on a budget so paid sites were not an option and although I consider myself pretty tech savvy, I'm clearly lacking the time necessary to build my own site.

Here are the free sites we considered for our wedding website…

mywedding.com: With 600 designs, mywedding.com really lets you match your site to your personality. They offer matching invitations to unify your theme, along with photo galleries and unlimited image uploads. Traditional page options like guestbook, rsvps, privacy settings, registry links, bridal party details, and even a countdown clock are included.  The site offers day-of photo sharing apps with instant timelines. Aside from the amazing features, it was easy to set up, find my theme and manage post set-up!!! This was my personal choice for our site (if you hadn’t guessed)!

Wedding Wire:  They offer more than 400+ mobile and tablet friendly designs, customizable photo backgrounds, registry links, widgets, and even a link to a WedSocial app so your guests can post photos during the event.  This site has a variety of designs with matching invitations to keep you wedding theme consistent in digital and print formats. The filter feature for searching was great and they work with a ton of vendors including David’s Bridal, MagnetStreet, Vera Wang, Vista Print and Wedding Paper Divas!

The Knot:  Layout your wedding details for your guests with The Knot’s free websites. Guests can RSVP online, you can upload photos (personal or guest photos), and add your gift registry. With 100 designs, they match themes to vendors like Minted and Paperless Posts (both favorites of mine). You have mobile friendly options and the ability to customize your url. The best feature of this platform is its linked to everything great about the Knot (i.e. tips, advice, and that fabulous dashboard).

 Another alternative to consider…

Wedding Jojo:  Really cute site options and they offer free and premium (paid features). The free features include limited theme and color selections but you can easily set up a page with a custom url, password protection options, and all the information on your wedding and related evens including photos.  Of course the premium selection comes with the adorable templates, rsvp management, and much more. For only $14.99 per month it could be worth it for the extra features.  FYI- It was super easy to use and to sign-up but there is only one free template.
