My friends
and I have game night several times a year. We really love any reason to get
together and contend for ultimate bragging rights! This month's Affordable Event is a result of a recent game night we attended that you could easily customize to your liking!

Game night
is fun for all ages and is a really simple way to have a good time no matter
what the occasion. Potluck events
minimize your costs so why not as folks to bring their favorite meal. For our most recent
game night we were asked to bring a dish and a game! The theme (Tex Mex) was
chosen by our host and the rest was all fair in love and game wars!
Venue: Your Home (or a Friends) – We were in
Riverdale, GA
Date: Friday Night (or whatever fits your schedule)
Total Cost: $15 -$30 (or more depending on your # of guests)
Supplies:
- Paper Goods (plates/forks/napkins this is a good opportunity to reduce left over party stock)

For another game night we recently attended, the hostess set up a Facebook
page so we could all claim what dishes, games, and libations we planned on bringing. That prevented duplicate foods and allowed us
to make sure we had needed items! It worked out great and we had a nice mix of food,
drinks, and games to play! I also recommend making sure you have:
- A
great group of fun loving people
- Simple
snack foods
- An
official (unbiased) score keeper
- House
Rules (or just make sure you agree to
game rules prior to playing)
- Interactive
games ( we love Taboo, Cranium, Catch-Phrase, and Quelf)
*I had an
increasing number of questions for planning ideas and events for the budget
savvy. I thought why not start a reoccurring feature of budget and bargain
friendly parties, soirees, and more. Our Affordable Events series is design on
a dime the Cordier Events way! We welcome comments, feedback, and your personal
ideas or party creations.
