Crepe Paper Accents {Party Decor}

Tuesday, March 12, 2013
I recently worked on a Jungle Theme Baby Shower and had some left over streamers and nothing to do with them. I bought them on sale and couldn’t return them.  I decided to save them for a rainy day.

This weekend, I decided to craft in my downtime and figured out a simple way to use those streamers to decorate for another event (my rainy day arrived).  I came to the conclusion I was going to make hanging crepe paper poms!

The Sweetest Occasion had a pretty simple tutorial.  To make it even easier, I used streamer rolls, which helped with cutting the paper into strips.  I was looking for poms that were not as full so I used smaller dimensions and less strips for my project. Take a look at the final product below.

Strips are about 9 inches long

Finished product and it only took about 15 minutes to make!

It was quick, fun, and super easy to do! A great use of streamers, especially if you have a limited amount left over from other projects. I’m going to mix and match colors and try to create a patterned look the next time I make these!
